Before you hire, we recommend reading through this section first, as it may clarify any questions you may wish to ask before proceeding with a booking.

It is the hirers responsibility to clean up and dispose of any rubbish generated during an event. We do not provide any bins at this time.

All time spent in the village hall must be booked and paid for. Please consider the time it will take to set up your event before you book it with us.

If you are a resident of Ryton On Dunsmore:
£15 per hour during weekdays
£18 per hour during weekends
If you are a non resident:
£17 per hour during weekdays
£20 per hour during weekends
The committee room is also available for an extra £5 per hour.

We will aim to get your deposit back to you within a weeks time from the date in which the payment was made.

No, only persons of 18 years of age or older can hire the village hall.

After your booking is confirmed, you will be given a code to the safe containing the keys. This code is not to be shared with others under any circumstances.

The main hall can hold approximately 100 people. The conference room can hold up to approximately 25 additional persons.

Yes, the hall has a disability ramp leading into the main hall, as well as a disabled toilet located to the right of the entrance to the main hall.

Yes, the hall has 2 car park areas. One is adjacent to the highway, and can hold up to 10 vehicles at any one time. The secondary car park area is to the left of the main gate as you enter, and can hold up to 6 vehicles at one time.

All events MUST end by Midnight. This includes tidying up and vacating the premises.

Music and entertainment are welcome, but please respect our neighbours. Sound must be kept to a reasonable level, and all amplified music must finish by 11pm at the latest.

Yes. All hirers are expected to leave the hall clean and tidy, including the kitchen, toilets, and any outdoor areas used. Cleaning equipment is available onsite. All rubbish must be bagged and removed as we do not supply bins at this time.

The Hirer is responsible for any damage caused during the hire period, whether accidental or otherwise. Costs for repairs or replacements will be deducted from your deposit or invoiced separately if necessary.

Yes, we the village hall contains a fully functioning kitchen. The kitchen facilities include:
First Aid Kit -
Health and Safety equipment and manual
Cutlery and catering equipment
Oven + Grill
Fridge
Kettle and Microwave

Serving of alcohol is only permitted with a license or TEN (Temporary Event Notice)
Smoking on the premises is strictly prohibited and your booking will be made void if this rule is broken.

Inflatables such as bouncy castles may be allowed with prior written approval. You will need to provide proof of public liability insurance and ensure that the equipment is installed and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Only assistance dogs are permitted inside the building. If you wish to include animals as part of an event (e.g. a petting zoo), please discuss this with us in advance. Other pets or animals are not permitted unless specifically agreed in advance by the hall committee.

Yes, decorations are allowed, but do not use staples, nails, or adhesives that could damage surfaces. Please use removable hooks or tape and remove all decorations at the end of your hire
